Engineered for Speed

The Velobike M2 Frameset defines performance with its commitment to strength, stiffness, and aerodynamic efficiency. Crafted to slice through air with minimal resistance, its advanced monocoque composite structure guarantees an efficient power transfer directly from your pedals to the track, ensuring every unit of effort translates into speed.

Innovative Foundations

Drawing from the plans of a renowned open-mould frameset factory, Velobike's exclusive manufacturing rights for this frameset design allow us to fine tune the frames construction to suit our performance requirements of our audience. Our exclusive carbon layup of the open-mould design employs additional T1000 carbon strategically placed for maximum benefit, fortifying strength and stiffness where it matters most while trimming excess weight elsewhere from the baseline construction. This meticulous balance is the result of lab and real world testing against out specified test requirements.

UCI Approved

We have taken the frameset (frame and fork) through the full ISO and UCI certification process to ensure safety and legality for competition use. Updates to the fork design were required from the original open-mould design to qualify for this approval.

Enhanced Compatibility & Safety

The 2022 overhaul of the front fork assembly broadens stem compatibility, significantly enhancing bike fit customisation and safety, a testament to our commitment to the athlete's performance.

Crazy Stiff

After experiencing this bike firsthand, dang it was crazy stiff and quick. Such aggressive geometry unlike other track bikes which i totally love. Honoured to be the first in my country to own an M2!

My Cat-Upgrade Ticket

After cutting my teeth and catching the Velodrome bug hard on my novice bike I'd gotten for 800usd on FB marketplace the M2 looked like a good deal to up my game a bit after finally learning a bit over a season. Oh my...such a game changer! Feels like it's in a different league...my ticket to actually getting top finishes in Cat4 and changing me into a Cat3 relatively quick. All my experience in road, mtb, & gravel are feeling a bit slower now but I'm finally turning into a more powerful rider. Stability and power transfer and aerodynamics are on another level than my old alloy Giant Omnium. Credit to the ol' whip for starting the journey but the M2 is making it an even more exciting one! Built up great with a good deal on some wheels and SRM power cranks...now it's on me to figure out how to keep going left...faster!

Wrap up another one for me!

Fantastic bike, easy assembly without proprietary parts, and great looks. It rides better than I do :)
The only downside was that there was no clamp included for a carbon saddle.

Hi Sergey, Yeah, we supply the frame with a saddle clamp for standard round steel/titanium saddle rails. For a carbon railed saddle we have an optional extra component available. To keep costs down for our customers, we dont supply this extra part with the frameset.

Top notch build quality

Thank You Velobike for designing such beauty while integrating some modern aero & fitting aspects into it! Although not been able to ride the bike yet the assembly was easy. I must also say that all details and parts were nicely finished. I can't wait to test ride the frame/bike and yes it screams for the Skat handlebar which might be the next order from Velobike. Thanks again!

Not much support and very difficult headset to set up correctly

I had asked for help, but received none. Having read the manual, I tried what they said to bar all the headset and not have it loose. The manual says to trim the foil on the fork with sandpaper. After attempting this, and continuing to use the molded top cap as a basis for headset compression, I was at a loss to keep my fork from moving back-and-forth. I ended up shaving back the foil so that now there’s a gap between the fork and the top cap. I have to use electrical tape to make the slip aesthetic. The only solution that I could find was to place a spacer directly on top of the molded top cap before installing the stem and without using the supplied round cap In this way, the compression is directed along the tube correctly. Using the provided round cap on top of the molded cap does not create the compression needed. Interestingly, I do not have this issue on my other two frames although sometimes my fork does come loose and I need to re-compress the headset.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about your setup experience. I was unaware you had reached out, and I apologise on behalf of the team if any messages for assistance were missed. Flick me an email with some photos and I can help you through tuning the headset assembly. From your description it sounds like something else might be fouling with the topper to restrict it from sitting correctly. glenn@velobike.co.nz

Velobike M2

Bought the frame from Brooks Cycles in Wales around 6 months ago and fell in love with it. It's the best track frame I've ever had and have had so much fun racing it at Welsh and British champs towards the end of this season.

Absolutely love my M2

Being a newbie track rider, I was on the lookout for a frame set that I can ride and race as I develop my skills without having to “upgrade” the frame quickly. The Velobike M2 is more than what I could have asked for from a track frame set. The frame set is really stiff, stable and reinforces confidence in being able to quickly bring it up to speed and maneuver on the boards.

I absolutely love the fact that the cockpit design and other aspects of the frame adhere to standards and nothing proprietary which allows me to experiment with various combinations of components to build the best bike that I find comfortable and confident racing on.

The Velobike team has been so very helpful and cooperative all through my frame purchase decision process as well as answering all my questions beyond the purchase as well. Just goes to show how deeply passionate the team at Velobike is about track.

not as expected

Careful ordering from this company, they scammed us out of $244.00, we ordered product that was never delivered, they confirmed it wasn’t delivered but charged us anyway. Buyer beware. 😞

Hi Rod,

We're genuinely sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied with your recent experience with Velobike. However, it's crucial to clarify some important details.

It's worth noting that your comments are being placed on posts and products unrelated to your actual order, which might mislead our community. We believe in transparency, so it's vital to set the record straight.

Your order was in transit to you, but due to challenges with DHL unable to make delivery due to the package needing to be signed for, you requested the package be returned to sender. We extended multiple alternatives, including organising the order to be delivered to an alternative address, but it seems our options didn't meet your expectations, with you saying you had ‘moved on’ from wanting the products any longer.

We did refund the full cost of your goods according to our returns policy. The only charge that couldn't be refunded was the shipping fee (including the return shipping fee), as outlined in our terms of service. The reasoning was due to a change of mind - no longer wanting the order and not that the delivery was never made.

We appreciate open dialogue and are always available to address any concerns you may have. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us for any further questions.

Cheers,
The Velobike Team

Impressive Build Quality and Excellent Customer Service from Velobike

I absolutely love my daughter's Velobike bike frame! The build quality is top-notch and it is clear that a lot of care and attention to detail went into its construction. The customer service from Velobike was also fantastic - any questions I had were promptly and thoroughly answered, and the team was extremely helpful and friendly. Plus, the shipping was incredibly fast and my frame arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend Velobike to anyone in the market for a new track frame - you won't be disappointed!

Five is not enough stars

Exceptional frame, exceptional service...a cinch to put together and get dialled. This is by far and away the best bang for buck in the track frame market in NZ. I cannot recommend the frame or VB enough.

Best value for money

The velobike M2 is honestly the best value for money frameset with features far superior to framesets that are multiple times more expensive. This frameset holds it's own up against plenty high end framesets leaving you with no excuses!

The best for the money

I love this bike, stiff, aero, and sexy as can be. I have ridden this bike in everything from pursuits to match sprints and every mass start event you can think of, it always rises to the occasion. I always get compliments on the frame, its a real crowd pleaser as well!

s
sggbond

if my height is 167cm is it ok for me to buy a xs size?

Velobike

At 167cm, I'd generally recommend the medium for an all-round frameset. For pursuiting you'd likely be best sizing down to the the small. The Extra Small would be too small for you unfortunately.

J
Jay

I heard velobike m2 is an openmold frame. Is it true? I hope to buy this frame but the rumor concerns me

Velobike

Hi Dave, Yes, the frames design origionates from an open mould design and like to maintain transparencey of its origions. What isnt so obvious or visiable however, is our carbon layup and a few minor geometry changes to make the design UCI compliant. Other versions of the frame dont have the safety and compliance modifications we have required to make to be fit for purpose amounst the track cycling community.

For us the M2 frameset was a low risk stratagy to bridge into the frameset market. Through beginning with a solid foundation, we have been able to refine and build upon an existing platform rather than starting from sctrach. The result allows for a lower end cost offering, as substantially less investment has gone into the project rather than starting from sctrach. Through a low(er) risk method, The M2 has been a great pioneering tool to enable us to learn for future ground up frameset development for a high-perfomrance audience.

Im interested to hear more about what concerns you may have, and please let me know if you have any further questions. - Glenn

Is XS too small for 170cm? Also how can I choose Glossy or Matte? I want Glossy.

Velobike

Hi Dave. At 170cm I'd likely go for the M if you're after optimum aero or still growing. The S if the rider prefers a more compact upright position or has shorter legs in proportion to their upper body. All frames are in Gloss finish.
