Product in Development #5

The current trend in Track Cycling is to go big! Big chainrings, big sprockets and big gear combinations. A few years ago riders were choosing to ride smaller chainrings with small 12t sprockets to achieve the desired high gear inch ratio. Times have changed.

Research shows that larger chainrings, in combination with larger sprockets make a more efficient drive chain system. The chain links don't bend as much resulting in less friction generated (More information on this will be shared in a future blog post).

With larger drive chain setup comes more weight and more flex and deformation under high stresses - especially the chainring. We have been developing our own carbon fiber drive-train system that is stiff, light and efficient.

This system begins with the chainring.
