Completing the Puzzle: Our New Aerobar Cockpit System

One question we keep getting asked is when we would finally release a dedicated pursuit and kilo setup. We have been working toward this for a while. We launched our Adjustable Angle Risers back in 2023, followed by our Carbon Arm Rests in late 2025. With those two products in place, it was clear that we needed to develop a set of extensions to complete a full system.

Historically, aero bar setups have forced you into one of two categories. They were either extremely heavy and clunky, or they were integrated setups with a one-size-fits-all approach and little to no modularity. We wanted to change that. We wanted our new extensions to match the adjustability of our risers and the sleekness of our armrests to create a system where everything works together.

A Fully Modular Ecosystem

Because we built this setup to be completely modular, you have total flexibility in how you upgrade your bike. You can buy the entire Aerobar Cockpit System together as a complete, race-ready bundle. On the other hand, if you already own our Carbon Arm Rests, our Adjustable Angle Risers, or both, you do not have to buy a whole new setup. You can simply buy each component separately to build out your ideal front end at your own pace.

With the extensions being the missing piece to the puzzle, we wanted to make sure they could adapt to all sorts of riding positions, handling styles, and disciplines. To achieve this, our Aerobar Extensions come with a spacer system that includes pairs of 5mm, 10mm, and 20mm spacers. By adding or removing these spacers, you can easily adjust exactly how long the extension is. Whether you need a short, aggressive setup for a kilo or a longer, more supportive posture for an Iron-Man, these spacers give you that versatility. The cylindrical design allows for easy rotational adjustment, and the universal 22.2mm standard means that while they are optimised for our ecosystem, they are also compatible with a wide range of third-party bars.

Dialing in Angle Without Re-Doing Your Fit

We know how important it is to get the right fit. If you get your setup even slightly wrong, you can be left with an uncomfortable position that makes it hard to transfer your power or lock in a sustainable aero position. We knew that our extensions would have to follow in this same vein.

Finding the right forearm tilt is essential, but working it within UCI regulations can be a massive pain. With a lot of bars, changing your extension angle is nigh on impossible. It typically requires specific angled blocks for your base bar and extension clamps, not to mention completely rerouting your shift cables. We know how challenging this can be on track bikes without cables, let alone triathlon or time trial bikes.

Our Adjustable Angle Risers fix that frustration. If you want to change your bar angle,  you do not have to re-do your entire bike fit from scratch. With the simple turn of two bolts fastened into two barrel nuts, you can tune your setup from 15° to 30° on the fly until it feels exactly right.

Armrest and Grip Adjustability

Of course, a fast aerodynamic position does not mean anything if your body cannot handle staying in it. This is where our shaped Carbon Arm Rests come into play. They feature a grid of 16 mounting slots, which means you can leave no stone unturned when dialing in your support. You can slide them forward or back, shift them wider or narrower, and even angle them inward for a custom fit to your forearms. You can read more about the development and design thinking behind these in our previous insider update.

Moving forward on the bar, your hands are your primary contact point up front. Through the extension development process, it became clear that setup preferences vary significantly from rider to rider. To address this, we designed the system around modular extensions featuring interchangeable grips. This allows you to simply swap the grip profile as your fit evolves or your riding style changes throughout the season, rather than replacing the entire bar. We currently offer several distinct shapes, with additional options in development.

Multi-Discipline Integration

Finally, we wanted to make sure this system was not purely locked to the velodrome. For the multi-discipline riders out there, we designed this setup to work just as well on the road as it does on the boards. The system features a highly universal basebar mounting platform that works with 20mm to 40mm base bar bolt spacing, handling top-down or bottom-up configurations using standard M5 or M6 bolts.

Even better, we have made road-specific variants of our grips that feature a pocket to mount a Shimano satellite shifter (SW-R9150). When you combine that clean integration with full internal cable routing and easy adjustability, you get a fast, hassle-free setup for Time Trials, individual pursuits, or Triathlons.
